The students of EYP1, EYP2 and EYP3 celebrated Labour Day with great enthusiasm and heartfelt gratitude. The objective of observing this day was to instill in children a sense of respect and appreciation for all workers who play an essential role in our daily lives.
The day began with interactive class discussions on the significance of Labour Day, where children were sensitized to the importance of every individual who contributes to the smooth functioning of their environment—both at school and at home. Through age-appropriate conversations and stories, the children were encouraged to understand the value of recognizing the efforts of support staff such as nannies, security guards, housekeeping personnel, drivers and conductors.
As a gesture of appreciation, the children created colourful and heartfelt ‘Thank You’ cards, which they personally handed over to the support staff within the school premises. Many children also carried cards home to express their gratitude to house helps who assist their families every day.
This simple yet meaningful celebration not only brought smiles to the faces of the support staff but also left a lasting impression on the young minds, reinforcing values of kindness, empathy and gratitude.
